Newbie player here needing some advice. I started playing real money on Party about 3 weeks ago. I'm playing the single table tourneys for $5+1 and doing fairly well. My account has increased from $200 to $250. If I continue to progress and my BR increases, when would I make the move up to the $10+1 tables and beyond? Will I see a difference in the player caliber moving from $5+1 to $10+1 to $20+2.....and so on? If so, where will this noticeable increase in player caliber be seen? All advice appreciated!

You will notice the player calibre goes up slightly, but not significantly till you reach $50+$5 (even then it's not too hot, so don't worry about that)

You should be playing $10+$1 now, the reason being your entrance fee is 10% of your buy-in. This is compared to 20% of your buy-in at the $5+$1 level. This may seem insignificant (after all, it's only a dollar) but it's not. Everything is relative and at those extreemly low limits the extra entrance fee will impact your results. $250 is a fine amount to pop the $10+$1 tourneys for a bit, when your roll reaches about $600 and you've also played at least 50 of these $10's I recommend moving to $30 (moving back down if falls below $300)

Good luck, perpetually evaluate your game and have fun

I have taken a pretty conservative approach and set my moveup limit at 30 buyins (including fee!) So I moved from $10 + 1 to $20 + 2 when I had $700. I also put in stopgaps at which point I dropped back to the previous level. For instance, in this example I decided that if I hit $550 it was back to $10. This is almost certainly more conservative than necessary, but it made me rest easy.

I agree with the other poster who said you won't see significant difference in the higher levels until $50. At $30 you'll see people starting to tighten up, but not a lot.

Don't expect to be at $600 after 50 $10 SnG's like this poster implies. That'd be like a 90% ROI....
