Late in PartyPoker $20 NL Holdem tourney (989 entries). Down to final 20 players and last two tables. I'm 2nd in chips at the table with T61,000 and chip leader is to my right with T145,000 (Im probably 4th overall). One full orbit with final 20 and UTG am dealt AQs. Blinds are 3000/6000. I raise to 17000 and it is folded around to CO who raises it 10,000 more to put him all-in. Folded to me. I call as it is only 10,000 more and will have no further chips at risk and though, I suspect he has big pocket pair or slick, I sort of felt commited to call the raise. I know AQ is a definite trouble hand at times and had the chip leader re-raised me big, I probably would have dropped. He does have AKo and wins hand with K on the turn. My questions are as follows:
Would you all agree with my raise UTG? Was amount right? Anyone would have limped or folded?
Was my call justified even though I thought I may be beat? Would anyone have laid it down? What is the point when you would lay down AQs to a re-raise (ie. how big a raise if he had a lot more chips to work with)?
Thanks

Your play was fine...you were getting 43,000/10,000 on your money..unless he held AA, you were getting the right odds to call.

ACtually i think it was 53000
17k raise 9k blinds and 27k allin. 53k
so effective odds of 5.3-1 With AQs you are commited to that call. Just a matter of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Dont lose sleep over it.
