Your card room must be great. In mine we can do 30 with the following modifications:

Minus 1 hand every time somebody rebuys.

Minus 2 hands whenever a card falls on the floor.

Minus 1 hand when the dealer has to figure a side pot.

Minus 1 hand when the players have to explain to the dealer that the pot is split because the board has two pair and the board's kicker is higher than that of both players.

and finally...

minus 5 hands whenever some jerk hits 4 aces, a straightflush, or a royal, and they have to put the deck back in order and open a new one.... ARGH! Damn Florida low limit poker.

At Foxwoods the other day, I was seeing about 30-35 hands/hour at a $5-10 table (yes, I was counting, as well as taking other notes).

Later, at a $2-4 table, I saw 25 hands/hour. The main difference that I could see was that at the lower limits table, everyone was doing their "poker pro" imitations (counting their chips, sitting and thinking over their inevitable folds, etc), whereas at the 5-10 table, people were moving so fast that it was almost like playing against the computer.

Yup... people play very slowly at the lower limits, and it's a pain here in Florida because Straight $2 is the maximum by law they're allowed to have at the reservations. We've got people here thinking long and hard about calling a bet on a 3flush board when they have none of the suit in their hand. hello! Fold and let the game go on.

clocked at two local cardrooms at the 6-12 and 20-40 games (full handed). One of the rooms has just added automatic shufflers to the 20-40 tables and I'd expect this to put the tally at ~40/hour, if for no other reason that players aren't constantly asking for deck changes or new setups.

I estimate we get out 40/hour at my 9 handed 30/60 game and probably a few less at 15/30.

Here in Wisconasin it's about 20-25 per hour - 70% flops up to 10/20.

I hate the games zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

At the Taj and Borgata the dealer average about 15-17 per shift. This amounts to about 30-35 an hour.

I was at Trump Indiana on Saturday night. Our table was in the corner right next to a clock so I took note on how fast we were playing. In a half an hour we went just over one orbit, so I guessed we were seeing about 25 hands per hour.

About 30-35 usually. Up to 35-40 if there is a card shuffling machine on the table.

About 35 at my cardroom here in New York (give or take depending on dealers, of course).

Personally, I think most clubs would do just fine without dealers. Let the players deal; that way you can use two decks and get out 50 (or more) hands an hour. The Mayfair Club worked very well this way for years and years (until the cops shut it down, naturally).

When I dealt poker quite awhile ago I think they wanted at least 20 hands in stud and 30 to 40 on hold'em. Not real sure but that is what comes to mind.
