I played in my first NL tournament ($5 buy in at party poker last night) got second place, so I can't complain, especially after how it started. We had 3 guys go all in on the first hand, which made one person triple his money right out of the gate. People were crazy aggressive early, is this normal for these tournaments? or did I just fall in to some maniacs? placing 2nd to the guy that tripled his money in the first hand is fine by me, also, when I got busted out playing head to head, here is what happened.

Yes at the $5-10 SnG levels you'll see WPT wannabees going all in first hand with as bad as A6s or 66.

They see these plays on TV and think the same thing can apply to the first hand of a SnG, not understanding that you're not playing shorthanded, most of the time the player making the play is short stacked, the higher level of psychology involved, etc..
