UTG & BB had not played too many hands, and seemed relatively tight. MP1 is loose and fairly aggressive.

I would have liked it better on the flop

I think its fine. You have to do this on occasion to keep observant opponents from betting whenever you check the turn after betting the flop. Its always nice to be able to take free cards from EP.
