View Full Version : 10-20: Conversation between two 2+2ers

Ever talk during a hand? Myself and D.Andrew did recently. Not verbally, but our actions held an entire conversation without ever uttering a word.

The game 10-20 at the Horseshoe. He open raises in MP in a game that was 8 handed at the time.

D. Andrew (DA): "I've got something reasonable."

All fold to me in the BB. I defend with Kd9d.

Clarkmeister (CM): "Congradulations."

Flop: Ks 9h 5c

CM: "Go ahead and bet" (Check)

DA: "OK" (Bet)

CM: "I have a pair" (Checkraise)

DA: "That's nice." (Call)

Turn: [Ks 9h 5c] 3h

CM: "I'll bet my pair" (Bet)

DA: "I hope you can beat AK" (Raise)

CM: "That's not a problem" (3-bet)

DA: "Yes it is" (4-bet)

CM: "Shit" (Call)

River: [Ks 9h 5c 3h] Jd

CM: "That didn't change anything" (Check)

DA: "You are so right" (Bet)

CM: "Please have AhKh cause I can't beat anything else" (Call)

He flips over 5h5s and takes it down.

CM: "Bastard" ('Nice hand' double knuckle rap on the felt)

Not a word was spoken. Volumes were said.

Clarkmeister,

Thanks for posting this, it made me laugh aloud in my living room.

On a side note, it really helps when you are analyzing hands, and while you are playing if you try and translate the bets into english, or whatever language you are comfortable in. I think people who aren't adept at putting their opponents on hands, would become much more adept if they tried this as an excercise.

Good luck,

Bob T.
