Now the 4-bet on the flop was a little more aggressive then my normal play, but should I have raised on the turn? Would this have gotten the sob out?

The way I would have played it would be to call the flop raise and raise him on the turn when you hit your card.

Either way I think he's going to the showdown so you were destined to lose anyway no matter how you played it. The lesson being - get your bets in while you are ahead and make him pay dearly to draw out on you. Just looking at the hand I felt confident that you were behind on the flop, ahead on the turn, and ahead on the river -> I was right 2/3 of the time.

Reraising the flop is a bit maniacal for my liking. I'd call his raise then raise after the king hit.
