View Full Version : Reverse Tell + Scare Cards = Good Bluff?

Caro said something like: "If a player shows lack of interest he has a good hand". I used it in reverse:

Got a free play in the BB with J7o after 4 limpers.

Flop KJx with 2 clubs. Middle pair, no kicker, I checked. MP bets, all fold to CO who called. Not much thinking here.

Turn another club, and I checked. MP checked, CO bets. At the same time, a bus co-rider approached and ask me for the bus schedule. Player next to me said: "Wait, he is on a hand" as I was searching my jacket for the schedule.

The dealer said: "Your turn". I glanced quickly on the board and said: "It's me"? And quickly tossed 4 red chips at as I was pointing the next departure to my friend. Dealer said, "Pump it up!" MP thought for a moment and mucked, so does the CO.

I think there is a decent chance that you had the best hand, though you may have gotten someone to fold a better jack. Ni han sur.

"Ni han sur" means "Nice hand, sir".
