View Full Version : Is PokerWorld going under like Choice?

Read on another thread that Choice is out of business. I tried to withdrawal a small amount that I left in there a couple days ago. If I never get it, I won't lose sleep over it. I do, however, have a little over $500 (yes, I have won some!) in PokerWorld. Should I be worried about it?

PS. Please do not turn this into a thread about Dutch Boyd. I really don't care to read about his business ethics.

That thread about Choice is really just about some moron named Elizabeth who doesn't know [censored]. Choice Poker is not going about of business and I'm pretty sure Poker World is not either.

No you shouldn't worry. They are owned by Olympic Sports. They have never slow payed a player. There are players who keep 100s of thousands of dollars with them to bet sports.

I was primarily a sportsbettor up until 4 months ago and Olympic indeed has one of the best reputations in the business (top 5 out of over a hundred). I actually called Olympic to make sure that Pokerworld was affiliated with them since there was no link from the Olympic website or Olympic's casino website. They did confirm that Pokerworld was their Poker website. I personally would not be concerned about my money there. Even if the site did flop, which I find unlikely because these guys have deep pockets and will market it well, I would be confident that the greek would pay everyone.

If you can find more than ten posts by JTG51 anywhere on these forums making a complaint, I'll give you a dollar.

If he says they haven't paid him, they haven't paid him.

APtour, you should loan Choice some cash so they can be sure to pay off the withdrawls pending. If you believe everything is truly alright with them, then you wouldn't be worried about getting paid back at a later date. Then the sight could begin to recover again.

I was referring to the thread that Elizabeth started and was titled "Choice Poker is going under, get your money out now!" or something along those lines. I'll assume for now that the thread by JTG51 is a rational discussion about the site and not some attempt to make a run on the bank.
