I'm sure the answer is pretty clear cut in HEPFAP or something, but when you first sit down at a table, is it better to wait for the BB or to post immediately? No matter how far it is away, I always wait for the BB, because mathematically I can see the most amount of hands for the cheapest amount that way. Also, isn't the argument of lost potential cards canceled out by the fact that you could just sit at the table five minutes longer than you would have?

If you can post in the CO you actually get a slightly lower rate for the first round as opposed to posting in the BB (7 hands for 1BB vs 10 hands for 1.5BB). If I miss posting there I will usually go ahead and wait for the BB.
