First time I ever pulled this off. I was sure he wouldn't go for it on the river, but figured I'd try anyways.

PokerStars 2/4 Hold'em (6 handed) converter (http://www.stompandcrush.com/cgi-bin/hhparser.cgi)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 9/images/graemlins/club.gif, 9/images/graemlins/spade.gif.
UTG folds, MP calls, CO calls, Button folds, SB completes, Hero checks.

Flop: (4 SB) K/images/graemlins/heart.gif, 6/images/graemlins/heart.gif, 9/images/graemlins/heart.gif <font color="blue">(4 players)</font>
SB checks, Hero checks, MP checks, CO bets, SB folds, Hero raises, MP folds, CO calls.

That is a thing of beauty. I've always developed cold feet on the last checkraise and just led out.

Did he pause at all before betting the river?

Very briefly. I usually do the same (wimp out) and just lead out - but he seemed aggressive enough to try it with. So on a whim I did.

After I did it I type in "trifecta!" and another player at the table (decent player) types in "I didn't think he'd go for it on the river".

I just went for it, but they didn't bet the river unfortunately.
