Ultimate Bet No-Limit Hold'em, $10 BB (9 handed)

Button ($2248)
SB ($303)
BB ($520)
GiftOfGab ($1158)
kerpowski ($3296.50)
MP1 ($745)
MP2 ($505)
MP3 ($1393)
CO ($914)

Preflop: kerpowski is UTG+1 with J/images/graemlins/spade.gif, J/images/graemlins/diamond.gif.
GiftOfGab calls $10, kerpowski calls $10, MP1 folds, MP2 folds, MP3 calls $10, CO folds, Button calls $10, SB folds, BB checks.

Flop: ($55) 7/images/graemlins/heart.gif, 4/images/graemlins/spade.gif, T/images/graemlins/spade.gif <font color="blue">(5 players)</font>
BB checks, GiftOfGab bets $55

I can't see him limping UTG here with anything but AA-22, AK or possibly AQs. I want him to fold... now... so I do what any self respecting UB player does and jam on the Bet Pot button.

kerpowski raises to $220, MP3 folds, Button folds, BB folds, GiftOfGab thinks for a long time and folds.

Final Pot: $330
<font color="#990066">Main Pot: $165, won by kerpowski.</font>
<font color="#990066">Pot 2: $165, overbet by kerpowski.</font>

The question is should I have bet less than the pot in this case (say raise to $180 instead of $220)? Would this have accomplished getting him to fold in most cases without leaking the extra $40 in the cases where he has a set or AA-QQ? I'm worried this Bet Pot button is causing leaks in my game...

ni han. sometimes you have to let people know you mean business. i might make it $200 more instead. slightly more intimidating. before you do that you should decide what you're going to do if he raises or calls.
