i know that you need a higher bankroll because of the higher variance in a shorter amount of time while playing 4 tables as opposed to 1. can someone give me the logic/reason for this so it can be explained to a noob. thanks

If you can play at 4 tables with the same per table EV as 1, your bankroll requirements ARE NOT higher. Higher BR requirements come from losing some per table EV as you go parallel.

Yes, your variance/hr will go up, but as long as EV/hr goes up by the same factor, BR requirement will be constant.

This is the only reason you should expect a slightly larger BR req.
