... but skimming quickly through the hands will work.

These are from Party's $100.

Hand 1:

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $2 BB (9 handed)

UTG ($60)
Hero ($101)
MP1 ($98)
MP2 ($48)
MP3 ($169.35)
CO ($174.35)
Button ($83)
SB ($104.35)
BB ($165.30)

Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with J/images/graemlins/club.gif, K/images/graemlins/heart.gif.
UTG folds, Hero calls $2, MP1 folds, MP2 folds, MP3 folds, CO folds, Button folds, SB completes, BB checks.

Flop: ($6) K/images/graemlins/spade.gif, 5/images/graemlins/spade.gif, Q/images/graemlins/club.gif (3 players)
SB checks, BB bets $5, Hero raises to $15, SB folds, BB folds.

Final Pot: $26
Main Pot: $16, won by Hero.
Pot 2: $10, overbet by Hero.

Preflop: After a long debate on these hands i know muck these, my 'trouble hands' after1 0k hands are up in EP on party and if i had to select one place to play them it would be party due to their preflop standards. Yet with their aggressiveness preflop and the variance of the hand i muck these all the time in EP. Anyone else?

Flop: I think the raise is solid as here against a BB hand, you are leading, but these BB bets are, in my mind, always waiting to fold to that raise which if you're against K,x calling here to get extra value after is better.

At the moment i muck preflop but raise the flop, i think calling the flop could be more profitable though. Also, since it's rare party players bet draws.

I reraise party players preflop, i'd bet that flop. I wouldn't raise if i called preflop.

I think that comment will have a 50/50 judgement on it, but i really think you need to raise preflop against party players here because of their preflop loose raising standards and their passive postflop play.

I vote bet the raggy flop. If not i play it the same.

Sorry all for the bad formatting the hand converter is having trouble with forwarded emails.

To summarise, i think muck more of the trouble hands preflop in EP and bluff the raggy flops more, these were the bigger issues but even these are small and everything looked very solid. The others are small yet will count for something. I don't like the check with a set though.

Well played though. Looking forward to more.

Interesting stuff. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Hand 10 with the set, that check was a misclick. No lies.

I figured that you'd have issues with my preflop play, given the hand selection you gave me. PokerTracker shows that I have a small profit for the goof hands KT, Axs and the like in EP, so I play them.

I really wish I would have been able to give you a more representative set of hands than those. But choosing the hands for critique isn't helping anyone... My normal game is to call on the button with nearly anything, but the hands I got this session were just too bad. As far as bluffing more on the flop, I question the merit of potting it from MP with 2 people left to act.

I'll take your comments into consideration, and thank you for the critique. It's been fun. Yours will be up shortly. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

why do you call the 8 and 10 dollar raises to get heads up when holding low pockets? do you throw it down at any bet on the flop if you dont hit your set? is the implied pot if you hit shown to be large enough to outweigh losing 8 dollars 7/8 of the time?
Thanks

I assume you are talking about hand 2. 9's are an overpair a fair amount of the time. Plus, any flop that comes J-high or lower is quite playable. Sometimes even Q-high flops are good flops for 99.

Hey.

For the trouble hands you really need over 50k hands to be able to run such a detailed search and get correct results. I don't have anywhere near that. I think they just could be profitable on party (KJo, nothing lower), but it's close.

The bluffs help you pick up a lot of unwanted pots. Those flops are raggy flops so i'll throw at them with only two behind. Some of them you are also paired on making the chances they have a hand less likely. Some are also paired boards, again, making the chances someone has a hand even more unlikely.

About the preflop calling with 6s in hand 3. When the pot gets back to you it's $26 and you have to call $8. So the pots giving you ~3:1 odds. You need to make 5 times more than you call here preflop ($40) to be profitable and i think it's easy to make, that's also only playing for a set. On party they'll give away their hands with bet sizes and obvious play so you can win a pot that way, (i'm sure my TT hand will get posted and you'll see soon).
