I've been a lurker here for several months, but now have a problem I hope you can settle for me. I've been playing Party Poker and I'm currently a regular $5/10 full table player. I need to know where to go next.

I've got more than 100 $5/10 hours under my belt. I play three tables at once. My rate overall is about 1.7 BB/hour/table. My bank is around 1000 BB.

So, where do I go from here. I think I've just about got the creds to move to $10/20, but there aren't many full tables on party at that limit. I'd like to continue to get my rate up, but to do so it seems like these are my options:

1) Stay at $5/10 full, maybe add another table, and continue to grind it out while making moderate improvements.
2) Move to $10/20 short handed (new game, new strategy) and try my luck.
3) Build the bank a little more ($12k?), skip $10/20 and jump to $15/30 full.
4) Find another site with a decent amount of full table players at higher stakes.

I value the opinions on this site, so what do you think is the right move and at what point? Are there any options that I'm missing? If the answer is #4, what other sites and limits should I check out?

Thanks in advance for the help!

5) Try 5/10 6-max and see if you like it, then make a decision from 1 through 4.

Try 5/10 6-max and see if you like it,

I think he'll need much more than a bankroll of $1k for this game.

I believe his br is $10k not $1k as he said he had a 1000BB bankroll.

There are enough full 10/20 tables for you to try sampling it. I therefore think your best option is to sample full table 10/20 or 15/30. Either one is fine, although 10/20 is a natural next step. If you take big losses, you can always step back down to old reliable 5/10. No move upwards is permanent. Many pros even jump up and down depending on how the games are playing.

Of your options, I think your #2 makes the least sense. If you are new to shorthanded games (my assumption), then definitely do not try it out at a new, higher limit. If anything, experiment at lower limits.

Cheers and good luck!
