I don't know that you did? He capped pre-flop, 3-bet you on the flop w/ top pair-mediocre kicker. Oftentimes that's saying high over pair. Basically, J9s overplayed his hand extremely while AK underplayed his hand.

Make notes on the two players and play accordingly after that.
