I don't like my pre-flop play much either, but I'm a sucker for nut flush draws... plus a pair ain't too bad. Anyways, I think if anything, I shoulda checked the flop. You really take the "bluff" out of semi-bluff when there are 7 people in the pot. Should I value bet the turn? Thanks for the help, I'm pretty new to Omaha.

well, you folded on the river, so at least you know you got one street right.

i wouldn't play this hand preflop. there is virtually no value besides the suited ace. at least you should prefer to have the 6 suited to the ace rather than the 2, so you can flop a set and the nut flush draw. (but i wouldn't play that either.)

the flop bet is justifiable if the game is tight, but i would prefer a more ragged board. the J-8 combination makes top two pair or a straight draw more likely.

on the turn, you have no business calling. you have only eight nut outs and if you hit the flush, you are unlikely to get paid off, unless the opponent hits a lower (but still high) flush. you are also out of position.

In Omaha 8/b, I love your hand. For just high, not so much.

Was this hand O/8 or Omaha high only?

A2 with a suited Ace and backup for low is a premium hand in Omaha/8 even though the second deuce adds only a little to the value of the hand.

For Omaha high only this hand is a piece of cheese as they say. All you have is a suited Ace. The pair of deuces can only build bottom set, which will cost you money. There is no way to make a nut straight with these cards. Muck them and wait for something better.
