The best part of the article:

Employees searched for the fingertip, but could not find it. The area was cleaned and sanitized, but the lettuce was placed in a cooler and then used for salads on Tuesday.

It may just be that I'm not smart, but I don't agree with this sentiment at all. Some of the best web casinos use RTG softare. For example, Phoenician Casino offers killer bonuses and INSTANT cashouts, & INetBet is the #1 rated casino at Bet2Gamble.

The problem with RTG is that they lease their software to anybody willing to pay the price, so this means a lot of shady characters end up leasing the software. The RTG software itself, however, is excellent, so first rate casinos often choose to get their software from RTG.

Casino players are missing out if they avoid the reputable RTG casinos.

no disrespect lunch, but hampton's was considered the number one RTG property until this. RTG admits the game is square, but they have not done a thing to get the player his 1.3 million. as far as phonecian, this player had an account there that was locked, even after RTG cleared the game.

be careful my friend, this scandal alone WILL have a major impact on the parent company RTG (located in Atlanta, and now the subject of an MSNBC story re: this THEFT). If RTG takes a hit, your money is not safe at phoeinican.

read the lawyers responses, as well as RTG responses in this thread. (27,000 views and counting)

the RTG guy has not made me comfortable, and i used to play an RTG site before this development.

I'm not trying to pick a fight either, and I totally agree that Real Time Gaming is not a trustworthy entity. If they were, they wouldn't give licenses to places like Hampton and Windows Casino.

Nevertheless, casinos like Phoenician that have strong financial backing would be able to switch to another software provider if necessary with little danger to player funds.

Granted, I think players have to be careful with RTGs, and check multiple sources before depositing. Despite Hampton's reputation, for instance, they were on the Bet2Gamble "sites to avoid" list before the whole scandal broke out. But if all the sources check out, then I think players are missing out if they avoid the good RTGs.

The Nostalgia group of RTGs (backed by land operations) are also reputable IMO. I agree with lunchmeat on Phoenician.....for now (fairly new operation). Inetbet have been the best RTG for years.

The rest of the RTG operators leave a lot to be desired, I've been paid by all that I've played at, but a 2 week wait for a neteller cashout wasn't out of the ordinary from them. It's a shame, as personally, I love RTG software - fairness and speed.

Google Rogue RTG if you're interested.

According to a post at casinomeister the pirate got paid to the satisfaction of both parties. No figures have been posted there or at sports911 another portal that has been close to this. I agree with most of the posts here, RTG has great software but most of their licensees are rogue. Here is the thread the pirate annouces his settlement

thanks for posting this addict. i would have guessed bryan would have sent a newsletter, therefore i did not know Pirate made this post today.

let's hope the settlement that he reached does NOT include the $25mil/month play through requirements he had at the beginning. if he got those huge requirements lifted, and got lump sums, then perhaps the "pirateofC21" screenname paid off as opposed to hurting him.

score one for the good guys!

Granny

Thanks for posting the initial link here. I hadnt visited casinomeister in awhile and was in the dark on this whole saga. The quality of posts in that thread (the pirate and rich the bitch aside) were incredible and it made for a great dialouge. Now if i can only get those 4 hours of my life back that i spent reading that thread (and i thought the pattern mapping thread was big).

yw cubby,

however, did you notice that there were FOUR of those threads? back to work!! just kidding, since it is now resolved there is no need. however, did you notice how quickly the lawyers that were SMART pounced on pirate to contact them? wonder what the percentage was? pretty high considering pirate had probably sworn it off as lost. scum-sucking lawers probably got 50% (disclaimer---> if you are MY scumsucking lawyer, i did not mean that all lawyers are scumsuckers... well, yes i did. forget the disclaimer, you are a bottom feeder like the rest)

i still say the best part is the links in the msnbc article that play the tape recordings. VERY scary to think a casino operator would talk like that.

can't get you the 4 hours back, but i'm sure glad i was not the only one that could not stop reading. i beleive 100% that if this did NOT go in favor of the pirate, it would have had a profound effect on poker. newbies have no clue there is a difference between a poker site not paying and this jerk not paying. the publicity would have killed poker.

That was interesting Granny. Thanks for the links. While following a link I saw a site advertising free money with no deposit required. I took Cirrus Casino up on the free money and won the maximum withdrawl limit allowed,100 bucks. I cashed it out. Do you think they will really pay?
I kind of doubt it.

Love,
Hoppy
