View Full Version : Hold 'em - deliberately skipping blinds

Not sure where to post this. I observed this in a live 3/6
game the other day. One guy left the table every time the
big blind came to him. I saw him take the big blind once
in three hours. Otherwise he'd disappear, come back and
post his $3+$1 behind the button.

One guy at the table got irritated by this and called the
floor, who said it was fine.

I was just thinking about this. He was giving up $1/orbit
to make this play. Is he getting this back in any way?

FWIW, after about 5 times the guy on his left started
getting up every time he did and coming back when he did -
not going with him just walking around the room looking at
the other tables. And posting his $3+$1 behind him.

Thanks,
Phil

Its stupid. He's giving up 3 hands including the button to post in LP.

He's getting his two blinds in from better position at the cost of never playing on the button.

And missing 3 hands so instead of paying $0.40 per hand, he's paying nearly $0.60 and missing the best position possible.

or seeing his two blind hands. 20% of the time you get AA, it is in the blinds.
