I wanna start a game in my area 2 nights a week. One night
would be .25/.50 NL Hold Em(MAX BUY-IN $100) and the other would be 2/4 Full Kill(MAX BUY-IN $200)game.And my question is how many chips should I order to cover say 8-10 people.Should I get 2 sets one for each?.Because I am gonna get those poker chip labels to put on them,I think hot stamping looks cheap. The amount would be .25;.50;1.00;5.00. Would that be enough for the 2/4 game also?

Without knowing how many chips you are prepared to buy it is hard to give any sort of advice. If you want to buy the min number of chips i might consider scrapping the 25 cent chips and having a double 50 cent blind for your NL game. It wont change the game all that much and will save you the trouble of dealing with the 25 cent chips.

Now....if your having a full kill 2/4 game you might want to consider getting some $25 chips or think about some rules for allowing cash to play. I might break down the chips like this:

100 .50
300 $1
150 $5
50 $25

If you allow cash to play you might be able to save yourself the need to purcahse the $25 chips.

hope this helps,

PS why on earth would you need a max buy-in for a limit game?

First, I would not get denominations- gives you more flexibility.

Chip counts- $2/4 full kill- I would say per person:

$40-50 in $1 chips (40-50 white)
$50-85 in $5 chips (10-13 red)
$75-100 in $25 chips (3-4 green)

That covers your $200 buyin and realistically covers a person and a half-sized rebuy, since most people will probably buy in for $100. You might want to add a few rebuys onto it

No limit- you'll need less whites, maybe some more reds and greens, maybe not (and maybe some $100 blacks, unless people won't go in for much more than the $100 cap).
You might also want to add in some blue (or whatever color is used in your area) $0.25 chips for the antes, rather than playing with silver. Figure 8-12 blues per player (better go 12).

Think about how many chips you want each player to have, so they don't have to make change constantly. Then add on the required amount of chips to what you use for your $2/4 full-kill game.
Also, when someone needs to rebuy from the table, they don't have to reduce the player who sold the chips into a position where one lost pot means they have to rebuy chips.

So, I'd say order the following, based on 25 chip sleeves:
125 blue
450 white
125 red
50 green

I second the recommendations others have made against getting denominations stamped on your chips. Also, why not use real quarters for the .25 blinds? Nobody would have any incentive to "steal" them because they will have paid full price for them. That will give you the flexibility to use your chips for higher denominations. Best of luck with your game!

if you get cheap ones from 5stardeal.com, you'll HOPE they steal them and make a $0.10 or greater profit!
