i've noticed this phenomenon amongst several posters. is it laziness or just style? anyone care to enlighten me?

I work in advertising and there is a current vogue at the moment for no caps. Sometimes I does and sometimes i don't /images/graemlins/cool.gif

I for the life of me don't understand why. Maybe some people haven't learn the proper way to write. I am all for banning those that chose to desecrate the English language.

I printed your post and stuck it on the wall. I may have it framed. /images/graemlins/smirk.gif

You've been getting rowdy lately Ray. I like it. I always knew you were anti-establishemnt. Are you off the payroll or something.

i look at it this way..

what's the use? i'm not writing a paper for english class. it's just an internet forum. plus this way i can type a lot faster.. and if i were to capatalize everything properly, but slipped up and missed one here and there, it would look worse than if it were clear that i wasn't trying to capatalize anything.

After spending quite a bit of time having to deal with my chatter while you're on your "vacation," you'd be in a bad mood, too.

I don't know exactly but basically the effect for me is that I typically will not read those poster's posts or just skim them - i.e. elysium, bernie, daryn. If that's what they're going for they succeeded.

Maybe someone can write a "post converter" that fixes all of those pesky punctuation problems. /images/graemlins/tongue.gif

choose or chose?

i for one get lazy when using microsoft word for extended periods of time and forget to capitalize i frequently, since msw does it for me. There are so many situations in English that are determined by context.
