Hand 1: fine. [edit] Also, it helps if you mention someone being SS before they go all in. Makes it easier to read your play.

Hand 2: No reads are given to suggest why you might only smooth call the flop here for two bets - 3-bet it.

Raising the turn earns more money if you think your opponent would raise with a middle pair that didn't hit or overcards. But it also loses more if your opponent is ahead of you as you'll get 3-bet on the turn. In other words, find out where you're at on the flop. There's no need to be fancy on this hand.
