This is not a first time deposit bonus, it is a one time reload bonus. If you do not have an account with them yet, and have $786 laying around on Neteller or Prepaid ATM, you can open an account there today, take advantage of their first time deposit bonus of 20% up to $100 then tomorrow take advantage of the 35% up to $100. /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Note: release requirement is 100 raked hands, and you have to leave the deposit+bonus in your account for 30 days.

I opened an account at Absolute and made initial deposit Jan. 28.
I then made another deposit (for SuperBowl bonus) on Jan. 31.

I've been waiting the required 30 days to withdraw some of these funds. If I choose to take advantage of this new bonus offer, (which ends on the 29th day of waiting), I cannot make a withdrawel for 30 more days without forfeiting this new (35%) bonus.

Is this correct? Did I read terms and conditions correctly?

If so, and they continue to space these excellent bonuses this strategically, I'll eventually have all my money in Absolute!

I don't like having $1500 tied up this long, but I don't want to take a pass on a free $100 either.

Fluff.

Excellent idea. Open an account, and get the 20% today, then the 35% tommorow and get a total of $200 with only $786 tied up at the site for 30 days.

I just hope that it doesnt become SIXTY days with the two deposits /images/graemlins/crazy.gif

I believe you can witheraw any money in excess of the deposit and bonus from bonuses less than 30 days in the past.

Has anyone actually "double-dipped" here as described?

Why just those two methods? That doesn't make much sense. Do other sites do their bonuses like this?

fluff
02-27-2004, 05:16 PM
Well, it's 35% for Neteller&PrepaidATM, and 25% for other methods.

Plenty of sites favor one deposit method over another, for instance every Sunday in February, Paradise gave 10% up to $50 only for Neteller deposits.

I just got snapped off of my 35% bonus.... maybe your talking about me /images/graemlins/cool.gif... Can you just keep reloading with this 35% through PP ATM.... and get 35%???

CrackerZack
02-27-2004, 08:47 PM
well that's a good start. Do they have a good amount of games going? I'm not real picky so if they have 3 or 4 at 1-2 through 3-6 I'm fine with that.

JTG51

I've only been on there for a couple of days. It looks like there are usually a few 2/4 games going. 1/2 and 3/6 are a little more spotty.

The games are very good, but not quite Party 2/4 good.

Here is the deal EMPTY!.... i am not the best poker player and have made 4 deposits abosolute poker and rec. a total of about $200 in bonus money!!! I have also lost at many other sites (that have a large player base like AP) however i have never seen a site willing to give you as much up front money and offer such large deposit specials to its players as ABSOLUTE!!! So as i refine my skills and continue to play i know i will get a little of my rake back at ap through these bonuses, and have a little bit longer playing time there...

absolute Poker player! pokermachine.

Here is my own update if anyone cares:

I opened an account there yesterday, got the $100, and today I got the other $100. So it works as promised.

As for my thoughts about the site:

It is basically the same interface as Pokerstars more or less, including the ability to upload your own pictures. Games move pretty fast. They also have the silly menu items like on Paradise, in case you want a graphic of a hotdog next to your avatar.

The sound effects are a bit annoying, but that's not a big deal.

They usually have a few 0.5/1 games going, maybe 1 or 2 1/2 and 2/4 tables, one 3/6 and one 5/10. Quality of players at the 0.5/1 game I played today was about standard, 50%+ seeing the flop.

I especially like the ability to get hand histories in bulk (last 3 hours, last 10 hours, last week...etc), instead of the usual increments of 100.

I looked into their tournaments a little, it's T1500 to start, blinds increasing every 15 minutes, starting at 10/20 or something like that. Unlike Stars, they actually have freerolls that pay money in the end. It's only $50, 4 places pay, with 800 people signed up...heh.

All in all I think the site is very nice. In terms of the software, I rate it right up there with Paradise and Stars, and way above Party, Cryptologic or Prima. In terms of quality of games, probably equal to Prima, better than Stars and Paradise, and not quite as good as Party.

And bottom line!!! where is the 35% bonus at stars/paradise/party.... I know this wont last for these guys but for now it is a good deal...

Sorry to be a pain in the a$$ guys, but I just deposited my first $500 at absolute and don't see the $100 bonus anywhere. Is it added after 100 hands have been played, do I need to request it from support, or will it just turn up eventually?

Thanks.

Mine showed up immediately. I would contact support and ask them what's going on.

It usually automatically shows up right after you make the deposit.Id email support if it hasn't shown up yet.

Do they actually require you to wait a day after the first deposit to make the second one (and get both bonuses)? I ask because I've had to do some quick shifting of money into Neteller, and I won't have enough there until the 29th.

Thanks,

The reason I waited one day was because I opened my account before the promotional period, that way I got the first time deposit bonus. Then the following day when they had the 35% leap year bonus, I deposited again.

I don't know which bonus you're elligible for if you open your account and make your first deposit during the promotional period.

FYI, daily neteller limit seems to be $600, so you need to wait 'til the next calander day to deposit again and receive $100 (35%) bonus if, like me, you just signed up.

Your mileage will vary on the Neteller limits. I deposit $1000+ from Neteller all the time.

Absolute have set the $600 daily neteller limit, I too transfer $1000's to other sites some days.

I too signed up with absolute today. But reading through all the terms made me think. Why would a small site offer such great cash incentives. I think it's either

A) To improve permanent membership
B) To improve liquidity in a time of fiscal trouble.

That said I only saw raked hand requirements on the initial deposit bonus not the 30 day deposit requirement that was mentioned earlier on this thread, so I went ahead and dropped in $500.

The software is nice, though the amount of monster hands I've seen in 3 hours is a bit troubling. (Quads 4 times, 1 Royal Flush) And the games are soft as well things that are really soft (Up 50 BB at 5/10 so far !? I had a few of those quads)

Something just doesn't smell right here, does anyone have long time experience with this site?

I deposited first amount Saturday mid day.

Its now Sunday mid day and I still can't deposit more money due to the Neteller limit.

Email sent to support first thing this morning. So far no response.

I opened an account there yesterday. I got the new customer deposit bonus. When I enquired, support emailed me that I cannot get the "leap year" bonus as well.

Yeah you can. I opened my account on Friday for the 1st bonus and I then added more money today and I did get the 2nd bonus. I emailed the cashier and they told me it was no problem.

I like alot of things about Absolute but this is #1. They have the fastest cashouts of anywhere I have ever played. The one I just did only took 15 minutes, some are less then an hour like that one, the longest I ever waited was 6 hours on one I did in the middle of the night but they usually are done within 2 hours.

Well I thought myself right out of staying at absolute, but here's some thoughts about my wonderful 10 hour stay. In statistical form. All played at the same $5/$10 table without break.

Original buyin : $500 11:37 AM
Session ended at 8:58 PM
Current Balance: $1149.1

Session Games 647
Games Won 20%
Showdowns Won 45%
Flops Seen 48%
Win % if Flop seen 50%

I saw 3 straight flushes 8 Quads (6 of which the hard way with pocket pairs) and 1 Royal Flush in my 647 hands. I saw 3 players go bust with stacks of $750+ over my session and a general level of play equivalent with play money games at True Poker.

Now a 48 hour wait while my original PPATM deposit clears so I can withdraw.

I don't think I'll mind forfeiting the $100 deposit bonus.
Something is definitely not right here. But I'll enjoy spending the $650 profit on something shiny. I hope.

Personally I've played at Absolute for 2 months and it looks fine and profitable to me! I do play more hands and win more hands then other sites but - geez - it's sweet!

Just played in a $10+1 buyin tourney where they gave away an additional $1500. Had a good performance and after the deposit bonuses I capitalized on I am up to $300 in free money. They are running a little short in the $15/30 games at times, but I am enjoying the play in the $5/10 and $10.20. They also passed my initial withdrawal test by processing it in 37 minutes. THe buttons are interesting, so pay attention!
