Looks pretty standard to me. The river really helped you out as now neither of them (both obviously holding a 9) are worried about their kicker so they cluelessly ram and jam. I bet they felt sick when you showed the quads...good stuff

MP1 has 99 for quad nines which I guess beats quad 8s. UTG+1 mucks but hand history shows that he has Kh4h. Now beyond the bad beat, here's my question: Should I be suspicious of collusion here? UTG+1 has not played maniacal yet and based on his play I really thought(hoped, prayed?) that both players had 9x and were betting their full houses. Should I be concerned or just look for tables with this guy in the future?

Thanks, Schaefer

Terrible beat. I lost a huge pot about 3 weeks ago when I flopped quad 9s and my opponent turned quad kings. The worst part is that it was painfully obvious he made quads on the turn, but I kept jamming it. I guess I just didn't want to believe it.

woa! ouch man, that sucks. to bad it wasnt live play that would have been a sweet jackpot.

it does seem pretty fishy, but then maybe he thought he was bluffing....it is party, tho i'vbe never played 5/10 so I dunno how many idiots there are, if it was 3/6 or 2/4 like I normally play, I wouldnt be to terribly suprised to see that.

Now beyond the bad beat...

Bad beat? MP1 was ahead on every street and won the pot. That's not a bad beat.

Should I be suspicious of collusion here?

If they were colluding, they are the two worst colluders ever. They made you and the other player face two bets cold on the turn then made you face two cold on the river. UTG+1 could have check raised and trapped you for one bet at a time on both streets. Also, why would UTG+1 call the last two bets on the river if they were colluding? It doesn't look like collusion at all.

After the initial shock wore off, I stopped twitching, and I could see out of my right eye again, I saw that the UTG+1 player hit his 4 on the turn and subsequently lost his mind. I was so shocked by the result that I think I was using collusion as an excuse. By bad beat, I mean it in the casino sense of big hand losing to bigger hand. I understand that I was drawing dead.
