i'm new and just heard about this site. so, i thought you could give me some advice. here is my hand.

there is a raise and a reraise before it comes to me and i have pocket aces. so, being the dude i am, i call. the first raiser calls and the 3 of us see the flop.

so, the flop is jack, 7, 8 with two clubs. i have the ace of clubs. the first raiser checks, the second raiser bets, i call and the first guy calls.

the turn is queen clubs. the first guy bets now, the second guy calls and i call.

the river is ten diamonds. the first guy checks, second guy bets and i call, the first guy folds.

the guy shows 99 for a rivered straight. what do you guys think?

Raise a lot more. Definitely preflop and on the flop. Aces are good. You might've been able to win the hand showing more aggression.

"what do you guys think?"

I think you should sprinkle in a raise on either the flop or the turn.

Aces in position-that's nice

-cap preflop
-raise flop-if raised come back (the player with nines should be gone by now)
-raise turn
-call river (if bet)

I think if you played it right you would have shaken away 99.
Pre-flop: another raise.
Flop: raise, especially because of the 3-card straight board.
Turn: raise
River: call, since checking is not an option. scary board.
None of the above is too original, just straight-forward poker.

Good Luck!
