While I was away on business, my wife had the opportunity to see Bill Clinton and Bob Dole speak here in L.A. They are apparently dooing a road show together. Money talks and bullshit walks I suppose. Anyway, they spoke mostly about the Middle East because of the sponsor of this particular talk.

While my wife found the talk one-sided, i.e., both Clinton and Dole preaching to the choir, the shocking aspect was that she found Clinton dull and Dole exceptionally eloquent, funny, personable, and exciting. (She voted for Clinton, not Dole.) Maybe it's the viagra, who knows. But she raved about how interesting and enjoyable Dole was and complained about how dull Clinton was.

Who would have thunk it.

Perhaps it's due to the fact that Dole as a happier, more fulfilling marriage than Clinton.
