Rake size and profits

I've seen this question occassionally addressed in previous posts, but only haphazardly So, I thought I would ask it right out.


What are people's oppinions regarding rake size?


I ask this because a friend and have been playing a 3-6 with a 10% up to $4 rake, $1 jackpot drop at $20, and tip. We've consistently lost at this game, and when doing we notice there is rarely anyone who is up. This has made us wonder if it might be the relative size of the rake is too high.


Thoughts?
