I was curious if anybody has played in any Florida cardrooms since the new $2 law went into effect? There are new rooms opening up at alot of the dag tracks. There is going to be a grand opening in a couple of days at one of the tracks in Jacksonville w/ 30 tables. Does anybody know how these limits compare to regular casino rules. Are all the tables 1/2 or do they also spread .50/1/2. Any info would be much appreciated.

Just got back from Florida today /images/graemlins/cool.gif

Didn't really want to go and play any cards 'coz I have enuff in ACity If you know what I mean!

I wanted some sun - Unfortunately last week the weather didn't cooperate 100% so I did go and play a Dania Jai Alai and The Seminole Hard Rock casino on Route US 441 (Fla 7).

At Dania I played some $2 Texass Hold-them where I stuck around long enuff to get a Straight Flush on da river. The casino gave me a Tee shirt which I will cherish /images/graemlins/tongue.gif. Later I sat down for some high stakes $1-2 7CStud.

Wow! How many bad players are in Florida???? Played as tight as a wad and came away with +$30 in 3 hrs. I though this wasn't bad coz sometimes in AC the old farts wont even give you this! Boy did these players bitch and whinge.

On Thursday night I went to the Seminole Hard Rock to see what was happenin'
W O W!!!!

Huge new casino to open in April. Roadworks on US441 a mess. Butt I guess that the Seminoles are paying for all the work. Kind of reminds me of Foxwoods back in 1994!!!! Indians waiting to cash in.... B I G - T I M E!

Anyway played $1-2 7CS just for fun. Had to move tables and play with loose women If you know what I mean /images/graemlins/blush.gif. Sat quietly and small talked as everyone practically played every hand. /images/graemlins/grin.gif Hit 4 Deuces on 5th street and had to suck 4 players into a common card draw. Came out +$60 in 2 hours and left after my jackpot draw (4 deuces = 5 jackpot tickets).

No caps in the poker. BUTT if poker is to grow like everyone sees on the Travel channel and Florida is a Great Travel Destination then the day the stakes rise will be a day of high reverement in the Sunshine State.

Coz I had a good time a the table - I didn't go to the track to bet the ponies.
First time in 7 trips to Florida!!!!!
