I just noticed they have .05/.1 and .01/.02 hold'em. How new is this. Do you think this will help get more people to start playing there and eventually move up. Being in the casino industry I do know that is a tactice with gamblers. Get them to play low-limit and eventually they will play higher limits because it is more of a thrill. Do you think this works in poker too.

It's only a few days old, and I hate it. During the day when the higher games are really tight, I used to like to play 3 .50/$1 tables to clear bonuses quickly. Now the .50/$1 games aren't nearly as loose as all the weakest players are playing the microlimits.
It's not like dollar limit poker is so large that it was intimidating anybody with a job from playing, and anyone who makes a deposit through Neteller has enough for at least one session of .50/$1. Furthermore, I doubt the smallest limits will bring in any substantial profit for Paradise.
The only benefit I see from this is that it will increase Paradise's pokerpulse numbers.

I hate micro-limits at a site.
IMO if you play low to mid limit. Micro games give you an overall reduced EV for that site over any other site with no micro limits.

Is this why the .5/1 games were incredible tight yesterday? I played at two seperate times and each time I moved about 4 or 5 times to find a loose table, and I still couldn't find one.
I don't like it, and don't see how it could add much to their site.

Although I agree with the sentiments in the thread, yesterdays .5/1 was the loosest I've seen there.
I won 92BB in 4 hours, and it wasn't my skill that did it, just the relentless payoffs.

I guess I wasn't looking hard enough, I also didn't play very long. But they struck me as very tight.

So everyone who has posted on this issue has said they hate the new tables, myself included, but I think Paradise accomplished their mission as the players betting pennies have boosted Paradise to #3 on the Poker Pulse charts.
The one positive, as I've said somewhere else, is that those genuine noobs who have pennies from the freerolls can now use them for 'real' poker.

Is it the micro-limits or the Neteller bonus?
I vote, its the bonus.

Hey Lori -
As I have only played Paradise I can tell you since the MTT and Micro-Limit Inception the .50 tables have loosened up quite a bit. There are now some tables with 70%+ flop percentages. (Didn't see that 2 or even 1 month ago). 40% is the norm there.
Just as a side note I have been crushing these games lately (15 straight + sessions) and have currently moved to the $1-2 tables which now play like the .50 tables used too. /images/graemlins/grin.gif

I can attest to this fact. Saw it with my own eyes. /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Paradise was running 3rd in tournaments and 4th in ring games up until today (or perhaps yesterday, i didn't check). Now they are 3rd in both. The bonus certainly increased their numbers, but Paradise's move into third directly coincided with the new pocket-change limits.
