Why doesnt an online poker site create this format?? It would work so well!!!!

200+15 Buy-in, and exactly 1,000 players play in the tournament.

Ten players at a table, only one advances.

Then another ten player table, only one advances.

Then the final ten player table, only one advances, for a profit of 200,0000!!!!

It only costs $215 to enter, and you only have to win three ten player tables in a row, and you have won 200,000!!!!!
I imagine that this would only take about 3-4 hours to complete, meaning they could be run all day. Imagine how easy it would be to simply win 3 SNGS in a row, thats it. 200,000!!!

It seems that Party would of course be the optimal site, but perhaps Poker Stars would give this format a shot!
Look at it, it gives the site all that rake, and the tourney is over in 3-4 hours. And one lucky guy only has to win 3 SNG's for 200,000....

incredibly easy? 200,000 would attract ALOT of sharks!!!!!!!!!! maybe you get through the first round, luck pulls you through the second. now youre sitting with pros who dont have a major event to attend!

i dont think it would be easy to win 3 SNG in a row if these were the 3. Just one mans opinion but I still like the idea.

Paradise poker tried that format for their WSOP promotion last year.
It's not that easy to win 3 SNGs in a row.

Yep, this is all debatable. The main concept though was the format.

I like the format. I also think it would become very popular as people are looking for that big payday.

As far as the payout goes, I think everybody should get paid at the third table, weighted heavier at the top.

Be pretty cool to see this go off.

Some good responses to this idea in this thread: thread in PL/NL forum (http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showflat.php?Cat=&Number=542097&page=0&view=collap sed&sb=5&o=14&vc=1)

I always thought this would be a great structure for a WSOP qualifier. You could even start it at 10+1 so 4 wins means an entry. For someone like me who rarely has time to play multis I would love to give this a shot.

There are yet more variations you could consider for a shoot-out type system (as an aside isn't Mike Caro and advocate of this type of tournie?. I have a memory of reading one of his articles on this).

Rather than the scanario of win your 1st SnG, come second in your second and leave with diddly, you could try something along lines of:

1st SnG sat - 1st nets 500, invests 1500 as buy-in for next satellite. 2nd round - winner nets 5000, invests 10000 for final table - then divi it up as seen fit - winner 50k, 2nd 25k, 3rd 15k, etc etc etc. That way you leave with 500 if u win 1 SnG and over 5k winning 2.

Many variations I'm sure but format might be of great interest.
