Party 3/6, typical table. Enemy in this hand was a poster, so no read on him. I am dealt A /images/graemlins/diamond.gif K /images/graemlins/diamond.gif in MP. UTG limps, I raise, LP poster calls, everyone folds back to UTG who calls. 3 to the Flop for 7sb.

Flop: T /images/graemlins/diamond.gif 8 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif 7 /images/graemlins/club.gif

UTG checks, I bet, LP calls, UTG folds. 2 to the Turn, 4bb.

Turn: T /images/graemlins/spade.gif

I bet, LP calls. 2 to the River, 6bb.

River: 8 /images/graemlins/heart.gif

I bet. Results later.

I think you have to check-call this river. You rivered a hand worth showing down and I don't think a typical Party 3/6 opponent will fold an ace here. I can't imagine what else he'd call you with that you're ahead of. Check and hope that he bets his busted straight draw.

I agree wtih dirty dan.

What are you trying to accomplish with this bet? Are you trying to make another ace or a pocket pair (higher than eights) fold? Or are you trying to get a call from Kx or worse? Either of those are unlikely, so your bet is unlikely to accomplish anything positive for you -- but it could lose you money if you're called or raised.
