Is this the same game as "Guts" using 3 cards, which I played in college?

No. See here. (http://www.pagat.com/vying/brag.html) The betting structure is very different.

Yes, this is where I first heard of the game. I want to learn how to play it, and I find software based play is the best way because you know you are playing by the rules.

Thank you ramjam for the freeware link. Now only if I can find online play.

Checked out the freeware, it's an odd game. Too bad the software doesn't simulate the open and blind man betting style.
