Party Poker 2/4 Hold 'Em (10 handed) converter (http://www.stompandcrush.com/cgi-bin/hhparser.cgi)

Table is very loose and button cold calls alot of raises. This may be due to the fact that the table has recently changed from loose/aggressive in the last few orbits (or maybe he just sucks /images/graemlins/tongue.gif). A couple maniacs have just left the table.

Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with A/images/graemlins/heart.gif, J/images/graemlins/heart.gif.
UTG folds, Hero raises, MP1 folds, MP2 folds, MP3 calls, CO-1 folds, CO folds, Button calls, SB folds, BB folds.

Flop: (7.5 SB) 9/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, Q/images/graemlins/club.gif, 7/images/graemlins/heart.gif (3 players)
Hero bets, MP3 folds, Button raises, Hero calls.

Turn: (5.75 BB) 4/images/graemlins/heart.gif (2 players)
Hero checks, Button bets, Hero calls.

River: (7.75 BB) T/images/graemlins/heart.gif (2 players)
Hero bets, Button raises, Hero 3-bets, Button caps, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 15.75 BB

Results in white: Button shows Qh Qd (three of a kind, queens). Hero shows Ah Jh (a flush, ace high).

Looks fine to me. With only two callers the lead out bet on the flop is good, even though there's a slight chance your ace outs may be no good. Calling the button raise at this point is a must with 10.5-1 and heads up.

His river cap was quite the play.

Does anyone else think that Hero should have folded to the flop raise, and just be done with this hand? The pot is small, and it seems like he doesn't have the odds to be chasing heads-up.

I don't see anything much wrong with your play.

I think for one more bet I would definitely see the turn.

I like the play I would have gone for a C/R on the river, but your bet got the best results. Nice hand.

Honestly I had no idea the button was as strong as he was. He never 3-bet BTF and Cold calling was very common (with almost anything) at this table. I had many cards I could improve with on the turn and I thought if I caught an Ace it might be good. I felt Calling the flop raise was almost a given.

I don't like it. I prefer limping preflop and check-folding the flop.

IMO, AJs is way too much hand to openlimp at Party 2/4.

I'm going to raise suited AJ almost every time.

I raise AJs in MP and LP but not when I'm UTG or UTG+1.

Mark me down as raising AJs here too.
