View Full Version : Putting someone on tilt

4-8 at Binion's.

Game is ultra tight. Chopped blinds on 40% of the hands.

Slightly tilting guy limps 2UTG. One limper in MP. I raise in BB with AsKs. Tilt limp-reraises me. I just call. Heads up.

Final board: Qs 3d 4h 7s Kd. Action was check-bet-call on all 3 rounds. I take it down.

He mumbles something about how it's all about getting lucky. I say nothing but make sure he see's me smirking in his direction. He is not happy and glares back.

2 hands later. I open raise on a steal with Kc4c from the button. Tilt calls, heads up.

Final board: K 7 8 3 Q (no flush). Action went check-call on the flop and turn. On the river he checked, I bet, he checkraised, I called and he turned up AJo for ace high. Talk about a value bet on the river! The rare "value bet so they can tilt bluff checkraise you".

Now if you really wanted to put him on tilt, you say "I was thinking of reraising, but only because it was YOU. Anyone else, and I mean ANYONE, I would have mucked them in a millisecond."
