6-12 holdem

I raise on the button with AKo. Both blinds call.

Flop is K-8-6 rainbow Checked to me, I bet, BB calls.

Turn is an offsuit 2 Check-bet-call

River is a J. Check-bet-call.

BB turns over 78o and my AK is good.

Just another arguement against playing the second pair on the board. What was he thinking on the flop--and the turn, and the river? (Or, heck, on the opening.)

I am constantly telling myself that I need to get better before I hit the casinos, but if there's a lot of play like that at 6-12

He called me down because I could have had pocket 66.

This is the power of the semi-maniacal table image. They notice the huge range of hands you raise with, but fail to notice either the situation, or your postflop play.

They just know that "This guy keeps raising all the time. I'll show him!"

He was thinking,

'This damn tall skinny kid raises all the time, last time he had 55 and got lucky and flopped a set, well this time 55 no gut, punk.' or something like that.

Clarkmeister, isn't the dark side fun?

Good luck,
