View Full Version : good fold

Last night I was playing a 6/12 game at Canterbury Park. I was in the small blind with n with KK a middle position who is somewhat predictable but a very strong player who typically plays 15/30 and 30/60 raised from early position. Everyone folds tome and i reraise getting the bb out. The flop comes out A35. I bet mp calls. Thr turn is a rag I check and the mp bets I fold. Shoul dI have check raised to see if he had the Ace. My thinking was he must have had eiter AQ, AJ or A10 suited. It would be unusual for him to stay in with two outs if he did have an ACe with a big kicker. Thoughts.

Thanks

A strong player is going to bet when checked to 100% of the time here. I love nothing more than having position and using it to make better pocket pairs fold when an ace comes.

You need to bet and let him raise you then fold (still a mistake IMO), or check-call him down here (better). There is no way I'm mucking in this spot given this action.
