Im in vegas 2+ years ago, i put my name on the 3/6 waiting list. (the mirage i believe) when Tom c (thats me) is called i get up and so does another gentleman. Turns out he had put his name on the list just after mine, and he also is a Tom C. I sit and play for a half hour and the seat next to me opens up, and who sits down but Tom C. A few circuts later i get QJ /images/graemlins/heart.gif is late position, call with several limpers, hit AK /images/graemlins/heart.gif on the flop, and turn the T /images/graemlins/heart.gif. I show down my hand everyone claps and we move on.
Three months later back in cleveland i hear my name called for a 5-10 table and when i get up to answer it so does another Tom C. Same guy from the mirage, apparently hes from cleveland to. (didnt hit another that day though, but its a small world all the same)

I haven't hit mine yet. A buddy flopped one on party and had a better and a raiser in front of him in a PL game and only had 15 bucks on the table. I did FLOP quad Kings for the 2nd time tonight!

As rare as flopping a royal but not worth nearly as much to me, I saw the board turn royal on Stars on 2/10. Two players shared the pot. It was hardly worth much more to them. They profited to the tune of 75 cents and 50 cents:

OK, where were all these card games when I lived in Cleveland? I moved away about six months ago and now it seems like every third person on the poker forums is from the Cleveland area. Getting games together was always a hassle. Apparently I was looking in the wrong places.

The games are run for "charity" and they are called Vegas nights. They have a rotating set of locations, and even cleveland police as security. if you want the phone number just pm me

Congrats, but you missed a clear reraise on the flop...you have a superdraw, splash some chips around. The way you played it, I hope you were planning on firing in a river bet if you missed after he checked the turn.

BAD BEAT FOR GULJO!

i caught a royal at party 2/4 my first week of playing, and was caught between 2 raisers from the flop to the river.

i've had one more since, and took down quad tens w/it. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

cheers!

Ah, haha, those games I know about /images/graemlins/smile.gif I've seen several posts about games in Cleveland and I thought people were talking about regular games in the back of bars, someone's basement casino, etc. Of course I'm familiar with the Monte Carlo tents that always come with the fairs. When I was living on State Road in Parma, there was a church at the end of West Ridgewood that had Monte Carlo/Las Vegas nights just about weekly.

I don't need the phone number because I don't live in Cleveland, anymore. I'm in Las Vegas and finding games here is not a problem /images/graemlins/smile.gif
