i got the RealPlayer $5.95/month pass. IMO it's worth it.

www.kpig.com (http://www.kpig.com) is a real good listen.

So is www.kpfa.org (http://www.kpfa.org) (when playing music, the have alot of left wing political stuff, kind of boring/offensive depending on your point of view). But anyways they do have some awesome music shows. especially on Friday night with "the History of Funk" and Sunday afternoons with the bluegrass/country hours. great stuff; commercial free and your not likely to hear it anywhere else.

anyone got some other good suggestions?

Good mix of music, and you can get lots of stuff for free, so you don't need to shell out for their VIP membership. Thank god for it, because I can't get radio at work. Install a pop-up blocker, though, or you will go insane.

I started a thread in the IG forum about what people listen to - some recommendations there. I changed to listening to 3wk.com following a suggestion there. Great indy type stuff.

what do you listen to? (http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=inet&Number=519680&Forum=A ll_Forums&Words=503&Match=Username&Searchpage=2&Li mit=25&Old=allposts&Main=519680&Search=true#Post51 9680)

Winamp's free. You don't need to pay to get quality streaming. Windows media player and other software is good too.

There is nothing wrong that I know of. It has to do with copyright laws. At least that's what it says on the kpig website. kpfa doesn't require Realplayer but they also hardly ever play music by artists that would give a hoot about royalties and such.
