I just got Poker Tracker a couple weeks ago and am playing around with it. Excluding my own play, I've got 8,426 hands of $2-$4 hold'em at PartyPoker in my Poker Tracker database.

I found this interesting. Here's some evidence of just how much of your winnings at low-limit hold'em come from really loose players.

Players who voluntarily put money into the pot at least 50% of the time accounted for 1,805 hands played, and lost $1,032 -- or 14.29 big bets per 100 hands.

Players who voluntarily put money into the pot less than 50% of the time accounted for 6,621 hands played, and lost $332 -- or 1.3 big bets per 100 hands.

(FWIW, I voluntarily put money into the pot 18.63% of the time, and won 7.49 big bets per 100 hands on 1,052 hands. So the really loose players are losing about twice as much per hour as I'm winning.)

Anyone with a larger database than mine want to run the same analysis?

Party 3/6:

558 players with VP$IP >= 50%
after playing 15,134 hands, BB/100 = -16.15

2177 players with VP$IP <= 50%
after playing 70,591 hands, BB/100 = -0.20

Using 25% as the divider:

1466 players with VP$IP >= 25%, 43,625 hands, BB/100 = -7.13 BB/100
1230 players with VP$IP <= 25%, 41,650 hands, BB/100 = 1.49 BB/100
