View Full Version : 6-12 Another semi-bluff turn raise

Four 6-12's going today. The joint was packed, as it has been for the last week.

I come back form a brief respite and post in the cutoff. 2 limpers to me, I check with 5d7d. SB, an aggressive local lady who knows me raises. BB folds, the limpers call and I call. 4 see the flop for 2 SB each. My dead small blind and the BB are also in the pot.

FLOP: 6c 4c Qs

SB bets out, MP calls and I call. 3 of us go to the turn.

TURN: [6c 4c Qs] Qd

SB bets, MP folds and i raise. SB thinks for few minutes then finally releases.

Good time or bad time for this move?

Good looking board for this move.

A couple of things to consider: a) She raised out of the sb so she probably has a high pair and it is extremely unlikely she has a Queen b)How would she expect you to play a Q on the flop - i.e. would you have normally raised the flop? c) will she laydown an overpair or a high pair? d)is she aggressive enough to play back at you and make you pay a high premium for you draw?.

I don't think you need her to laydown very often to make this profitable because you have outs even if you are called. The biggest concern for me would be whether she comes back at you with a hand like A,A or K,K.
