Hi,
New to the Hold-em side of the forum. I have just moved over from playing 7-stud exclusively. I keep reading the post but am not sure of all the abbreviations being used for positions on board. Can someone give me a brief rundown or where I can find them.

thanks

rick

Most hold 'em books will have a glossary at the end. If that doesn't work, then just enter "hold em terms" into any search engine like Yahoo! or Google.

Sorry, I should have been more specific. I wasn't looking for poker terms but the slang used on the forum. things like ep for early position or mp for mid position and some ot the others that I can't figure out.

I'll post one:

CO or cutoff= seat just to the right of the button.

That one gave me trouble when I first started reading these forums.

You should probably write out the ones that you don't know, then type them into the message board and someone will get back to you with the definitions.

For example, I'd assume that most people know that TPTK means "top pair, top kicker" -- such as holding AJ when the flop comes J 8 2. But did you know that?
