10/20game. UTG limps, folded around to very loose aggresive in mid position who raises. (He has been trying to steal many hands, but folding to a check raise on the turn when heads up.)SB folds, I have J9spades in BB and call the raise, UTG calls.

FLOP:Qd, 3s, 8c
I bet, UTG folds, VLA calls (I had hoped to win right there with a bluff, if not I still have a suck out inside str8, draw 4 outs)

TURN: 2s (No str8, but I pick up a flush draw. Now I have 4 str8 outs and 8 flush outs (actually a total of 11 outs)I go for the check raise and he calls.

RIVER: Ac I miss all my outs. I bet.(I can't win checking.) He calls and shows QJ and takes it down.
I know this hand was played poorly, but against this player I don't feel like I was very wrong for attacking. I would like someone to walk me through the math. Were my odds far off in the play of the hand?
