UTG limps, UTG+1 raises. this could be anything. he can be a loose raiser at times. can be aggressive postflop. i think he views me as a little tight. all fold to me in the BB with 99. i call as does the limper. limper is tight and likely has high cards, no pair.

flop comes 2 tone 8 4 2 not my tone at all.

check to UTG+1 who bets, i raise, UTG folds, UTG+1 calls.

turn A flush possible.

i bet, UTG+1 calls.

river 9 4 flush on the board

i check intending to call a bet. UTG+1 checks behind.

UTG+1 had KK and gets the overpair pussy award.

yknow, i was torn about betting the river. i didnt think he had a flush as i figure id have heard from him if he was drawing. but i tried to induce a bluff and failed.

looking back, i agree, a bet was probably the way to go. no way he's betting into a possible flush that wouldnt fold to a single bet.

if anything, i couldve not had to show my hand. he may have folded or better yet, called. i dont think he'd try a raise bluff on me as he seemed a little cautious when i was active in pots. as shown here.

I would bet the river, however, surely it would have only concealed your hand. Not many will call without the flush.
