A couple of nights ago, I became stumped as I ran into this situation a few times in a 1/2 limit game (a rarity in the full table loose low limit games I'm used to playing, in my (limited) experience). So what kind of hands should I raise with vs. call?

I am in LP and everyone folds to me. (only the blinds are left to act).

Pre-flop would you raise with 88? T9s? QTs? KQ? AJ? (Sklansky group 4 hands)

Or should I be more aggressive here in an attempt to steal the blinds?

Yes, I know the answer is probably "it depends", but what's a good guideline here?

Thanks.

In a full ring game, I usually won't raise with those hands. Maybe with AJ or KQ, but it really depends on the opponents.

I'll usually play a "delayed steal" with those types of hands: see the flop and if the blinds don't act, I'll bet regardless if the flop hit me or not and raise if the flop doed hit me and they bet. It usually collects the same amount of money, but I don't have to worry as much about a 3-bet from the blinds. Usually, the blinds will act on the flop if they hit it.

This kind of play is usually very table dependent.

88, AJ, KQ, QTs I would open-raise all day long. I would raise a limper or 2 as well. (maybe only 1 limper with 88)

T9s ... sometimes.
