It should be self-evident that these two things are inversely correlated. Just because I'm a dork, I calculated the correlation coefficient, and it's -.83

Not that you need a bunch of fancy statistics to recognize this. Obviously, if you stick around to see more showdowns, you're going to win more hands.

Does that mean that, by winning more hands, you're going to win more money? Not necessarily; it can get expensive to see a lot of hands to the end, or to play them aggressively on the flop and turn in such a way that you win the hand without a showdown.

But when I see a bunch of showdown percentages in the 57% range, I think you guys might be foregoing a few too many +EV risks on later streets.
