yes, if they get another 20,000 to log on and play while at least 30,000 are already playing

You think? What do you see for the end of the year?

The major growth between now and the end of the year should coincide with the new season of the WPT and the World Series of Poker. If Party doesnt get up to 50k by April it will happen shortly after the WSOP. By June, the hoopla of thw WSOP will be over, summer will be upon us and i see the growth tappering off.

Why dont they keep WPT going all year? Once it ends, start it up again....

Same reason they dont have sitcoms running all year long... it takes serious time, planning, and money. Additionally, in the case of poker there are only so many tournys that draw the big names and hence make watching fun. If the WPT was on weekly there might be serious burn out of views. Even as a poker lover, would you really be excited about a new episode each week. Not only would there too much to keep up with but also you would get bored of it.

Are you being realistic?

Try about 55,000 before the end of 2004!

Your post should ask when will party reach 50,000 players? I think they'll have 50k some time in april or march. The question is will party reach 100k players? I think yes thought I don't know how long that might take. If you think about how the average person has absolutely no idea that any of these poker websites exist and how many of them would play if they did know of them then it would be insane. And most people who play on partypoker are north americans. What happens when the rest of the world finds out about it? I used to play to play online games made by Blizzard (Diablo II, Warcraft II and Warcraft III) and they have upwards of 300,000 people on there servers at the same time.

When will party be making enough money to have some reliable software written, and decide to run it on reliable servers?

I sympathize with the fact that they have a LOT of people online, more than any other poker site, but can they not afford to add to their server farm? And can they not afford to hire a couple programmers good enough to write a client and server that don't completely suck?

It is rediculous that they can't get enough or good enought servers with all the money they're making. And of course their customer support could use an upgrade.
