PF: Limping is fine
Flop: I think you gotta bet this to at least see where you stand. If you get c/red, you can be pretty sure your against a set. This is also a very profitable bluffing situation b/c a lot of peopel will fold if they don't have a 6 or 9 in they're hand.

Turn: Gotta raise, you got TPTK and theres a good chance he doesn't have a 6

Preflop: I want to raise here for two reasons. I want to buy the button, I may have the best hand, and I want to take some control.

Flop: I guess that's fine, after the limp and what not.

Turn: I'm raising. Most people don't come in UTG with a six in their hand (unless it's a pair of sixes, or A6s), it's far more likely you're up against JT/JQ/KJ/AJ, none of which are cause for concern.

I raise the turn, but its not UTG that I'm worried about, its the blinds.

UTG is not likely to have the 6, but the blinds may. If they raise or call, watch out.

Yeah, definite value bet, cold caller has to be on a draw.

You should expect to win this one a whole bunch of the time.

UTG turns over 44 for a rivered full. EP2 has j9s which woulda beat me too.

I still think I played it right, and it appears you guys agree with me. I was on the fence about betting the flop, but decided against it. I used to bet this every time, not so much any more. I dunno.

Dont beat yourself up. He check called when the 4 hit? unreal.

Give me that kind of passive table all day long.

The 2/4 games at UB have been mad agressive lately.

Look at it like this, he called 2 cold for his 2 outer, big mistake, most of the time you'll win this. If it was a good player playing that J9, he would have 3 bet you on turn and you would have lost the same amount. Possilby more if he bet out on the flop.

Raise. UTG likely has JT or KJ or QJ or 88 if anything. Chances are your hand is best.

Why not raise preflop?

BTW, we were at the same table for a while late last night.
