MP1 limps, MP2 limps, Hero raises, Button folds, SB folds, BB calls, MP1 calls, MP2 calls

Flop(8 1/3 SB): 2/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, K/images/graemlins/spade.gif, 9/images/graemlins/heart.gif

BB checks, MP1 checks, MP2 checks, Hero bets, BB folds, MP1 calls, MP2 folds

Turn(5 1/6 BB): 6/images/graemlins/diamond.gif

MP1 checks, Hero bets, MP1 calls

River(7 1/6 BB): Q/images/graemlins/diamond.gif

MP1 checks, Hero bets, MP1 raises, Hero calls

Results: <font color="white">MP1 rivers what must be his 3rd backdoor flush in my time at this table

Should I have check-called the river instead?

Totally routine.

If you are thinking about checking top two pair on the river heads up because a backdoor flush is possible, it's time to end the session. You are letting past hands effect your play way too much.
