You had JTs and EP1 had 44.

I think you have K10 and EP1 maybe had a pair of 3's or 4's.

Hey Joe

If our hero has either one of these hands Im disappointed. I hope he isnt playing JTo from EP in this game (of course he did say he didnt like his preflop play) and if he has 33 why no flop cap.

Im going with:
Button: AA-QQ
EP1: JJ
Hero: JTs

P.S.-I saw him in another post and I just wanted to say WB Lil!

Yes that did through me off a little.

Strange thing to say, it could mean all different things from all different players.

Peace,

As someone of you had guess, I did have JT (not suited though). I was trying to do a bunch of things at once so I wasn't paying much attention to the table. For some reason, I thought that I was the Button and that there was 2 or 3 limpers in front of me so I decided to limp with JTo.
EP1 has 33, a hand that I fold in most Party 3/6 games in early position because it is rare that you'll get 5 or more to the flop for 1 bet. Do you all agree? I muck up to 66 in EP depending on the game.
I put the button on an overpair here, although he could also have AK/AQ of diamonds. Since he folded the river, we'll never know.

I would not limp with that hand at most Party 3/6 tables, but you do find the occasion table where you can do so. If the table was loose passive (you didnt include in your original post) then I think the limp is fine w/ 33.

P.S. Great read Joe.

You should be limping with the 33,66 and folding the JTo.

It was somewhat the "typical" Party 3/6 table. It ranged from loose passive on a few hands to very aggressive on other hands. Sometimes you'll get the flop capped 5 ways, and sometimes you'll steal the blinds with a raise or have only the BB call.
In a situation like this, what pocket pairs do you much in EP? I've been folding 22-44 all the time and sometimes folding 55 and 66.

Your opponent's limp was more reasonable than yours IMO.

These are not hard and fast rules because as we all know, there just isnt such a think in this lovely game we play. I would be mucking 22-77 most times in EP in the typical Party 3/6 game. I usually start playing 88 or 99 in EP and there again sometimes I limp, sometimes I raise, it depends on my image at the time.

You're probably right. I'm sure EP1 limped on purpose, while I limped thinking I was the button and that there were more than 1 limper. I usually muck this hand unless I'm the CO or Button with several limpers and the game is not too aggressive.

Yes, I should have mucked it preflop, but given that I didn't, what do you think of my play postflop?
