Does anyone know how many unique board combinations there are in Holdem? By unique I mean a board of Ah-Kh-2d-2h-3s is the same as a board of 3s-Ah-Kh-2d-2h and should not be counted twice.

Also, how different is the calculation if you take into consideration the 2 cards in your hand that you already know?

Thanks,
Mike

C(52,5) = 52!/(47!5!) = 2,598,960

if 2 cards are dead, then C(50,5) = 50!/(45!5!) = 2,118,760

I am sure some draw players would know the answer to the
first question exactly (it's just the total number of draw
poker hands with a 52-card deck, a number that is found in
many draw books, and a number I just happen to know by
heart - I've seen it dozens of times!)!
